Based on the freely available interfaces and adapters as well as the web-based applications each RU can design its access to TMS individually
Integration Landscape
With the introduction of TMS, SBB Infrastructure will provide various interfaces, adapters and web based applications.

Depending on the size of an RU as well as its affinity to IT several migration paths can be chosen for the introduction of TMS, depending on the priority of the different modules.
Migration Strategies
Multiple migration paths are possible. Each RU has to define its own migration strategy depending on the needs and urgencies of the company.
Large RUs
Large RUs will strive for a high integration with TMS in order to achieve a high level of automation. Additionally web based applications can be used on a case by case situation.
The sequence of the implementation depends on the prioritization of the automation steps.

Mid sized RUs
Mid sized RUs can choose an opportunistic approach to interact with TMS. Only where a higher level of automation and integration is worthwhile, interfaces and adapters will be used. In all other cases web based applications will be used.

Small RUs
Small RUs will only use interfaces and adapters where it is worthwhile. In all other cases the communicate manually with TMS using the web based applications provided with TMS.
